For example, spiting in an others person face or making death threats, are treated as physical assault.

The victim of an assault can be injured physically and psychologically. The victim can be unable to work several days or several months, and in more severe cases, have to go on a rehabilitation therapy. Witnesses may have psychological problems as well. Common problems are: insomnia and hypertension. Physical assault is highly present in companies. If physical assault is proved, company or organization will have to replace person responsible for the assault and pay a certain amount of money to the victim.

There are three different types of assaults: simple assault, assault with a weapon or causing serious injuries and aggravated assault. Sentences for physical assault can be from $2000 up to 14 years of prison. In some cases, a court can punish defendant with both sentences, fine and imprisonment. The worst type of physical assault is assault with a weapon. Any kind of an object can be considered as a weapon. The most common are baseball bats and bars. Injuries in those cases are more severe, and often cause permanent physical damages to the victim. In that case aggressor must pay a certain amount of money for the rest of a victim’s life!
