Things you shouldn’t throw away

Things you shouldn’t throw away

The truth is that we make an awful lot of waste. Nothing, new, but the real problem is that something from that waste can be used more or shouldn’t be thrown away. The first example are binder clips. They are known for their strength and can help you solve some minor problems in your home. You probably believe that they don’t have any function, but they are! You can pinch a credit card and folded cash and make a minimalistic wallet. You can even use them to hang pictures on walls! Maybe the better purpose is with a toothpaste. It will keep half-empty tube locked.

Aluminum foil was invented in 1947, and it is still one of the most important things in every kitchen. It is odor-proof, moisture-proof and can withstand high temperatures. Beside already known purposes, you can do much more with an aluminum foil. You can make a ball from it and use it as a pot scrubber. It is an easy way to remove grime from pans and pots. If you want to polish silver, you can. Simple sin the silver object in a glass pan lined with aluminum foil and add salt. When it boils, you will have a clean silver.

Recycling of electronics is very useful. For example, recycling 1 million old cell phones saves 35.000 pounds of copper; 33 pounds of palladium; 75 pounds of gold and 772 pounds of silver. Recycling 1 million laptops will save the same amount of electricity as 3.500 houses in America use in one year. And the only thing you should do is recycle.
